Former Bank VP Pleads Guilty

The former bank vice president who forged her husband's name to secure a $200,000 mortgage on their out-of-state lake property said she did it to help a friend.
Anne Justesen, 44, pleaded guilty to one count of mortgage fraud through identity theft. Her lawyer said she forged the documents to help a friend who was in need of financial help. After obtaining the money, she reportedly gave it to her friend.
The bank's CEO, Paul Jennings, said Justesen made an error in judgment and that the bank has never had a bank officer betray their trust until now. The bank was founded in 1890.
