A 30-year-old man has been accused of stealing identities to support his lavish lifestyle, including a fraudulently obtained home in Sacramento, Calif.
Jerry Van Le is charged with stealing Social Security numbers from people who hadn't yet established credit, such as children and immigrants. Officials said he stole the numbers while working as a mortgage broker, used them to purchase his home, five vehicles and other luxury items.
