March 13, 2009
A 58-year-old woman is giving up her state-issued appraiser license as part of a consent agreement with the Pennsylvania Department of State after being identified as a participant in a mortgage fraud scheme.
Natalie Rose Hurlburt was accused of falsely inflating the appraised values of almost 200 dilapidated homes. Her employee, Kristopher M. Porter, of Edinboro, also appraised some of the homes that were involved in the scheme.
