Conviction in Multimillion-Dollar Fraud

A 49-year-old Tampa man was convicted for his role in a multimillion-dollar mortgage fraud scheme that defrauded seven banks.
Larry P. Nardelli was found guilty of scamming the seven lenders out of $82.7 million in the scheme. Co-defendants John A. Yanchek, 49, an attorney, and Michael A. Tringali, 46, pleaded guilty and are waiting to be sentenced.
A fourth defendant Neil Mohamed Husani, 38, had fled to Jordan but has been arrested and is awaiting extradition to the United States.
