Fake Social Security Numbers Used

A 39-year old Kansas man pleaded guilty to participating in a $12.6 million mortgage fraud scheme and using phony Social Security numbers to obtain three of the 25 properties involved.
Ronald E. Brown, Jr., an insurance agent at The Brown Insurance Agency in Kansas City faces up to five years in prison and $250,000 in fines after being charged with one count of conspiracy. Brown and 16 others were indicted for falsely inflating the values of 25 homes and then fraudulently obtaining them.
The homes they flipped were located in upscale subdivisions in Lee’s Summit and Raymore.
