A South Carolina man conned an elderly woman into giving him $15,000, she thought it was being applied to her mortgage. Her home is now in foreclosure.
Rufus Rivers, 53, was caught in the act and arrested after attempting to collect another payment from the 75-year-old homeowner. Authorities found a receipt book in Rivers' possession suggesting there may be other victims.
Rivers is being held without bail.
