Fraud Tripled Appraised Value

Two Michigan real estate professionals are charged with six felony counts relating to a mortgage fraud scheme.
Angelo Williams, a Jackson real estate investor and Teresa Wilson, a former title company worker have been accused of racketeering and taking money under false pretenses. The pair allegedly falsified several documents to obtain mortgage loans on four Jackson houses that were valued several thousands of dollars over the true appraised value. One home was inflated three times its true value.
Trial is set for Feb. 24.
