Fugitive Fraudster Arrested

One of the defendants in an $83 million mortgage fraud scheme was apprehended in Jordan and is being extradited to the U.S. to stand trial.
Neal Mohammad Husani fled the U.S. in April 2006 after being accused of inflating land values and obtaining $83 million in loans from banks in Southwest Florida. The alleged ringleader, John Yanchek, pleaded guilty and is now facing 30 years in prison and $1 million in fines.
Also charged are Michael Tringali and Larry Nardelli.
