Radio Host Questions Senator of Fraud

A Connecticut conservative radio talk-show host quit his job after the radio station refused to air an interview he conducted with a politician that has been under scrutiny for favoritism from Countrywide Home Loans.

Senate Banking Committee chairman Chris Dodd received a mortgage loan from Countrywide under the reported guise of a VIP program that gave special mortgage deals to government officials. When questioned about this favoritism, Dodd told radio host Tom Scott that he had no knowledge of having been given special treatment.

Scott had publicly declared his belief that Dodd had committed mortgage fraud prior to the interview. Dodd said that Scott had presumed incorrectly. The station decided not to air the interview and in response, Scott quit.
