A former mortgage company president admitted involvement in a property flipping scheme that used straw buyers, fake information and HUD-insured loans.
Michael O'Keefe, Jr., former president of Citywide Mortgage, pleaded guilty to charges relating to mortgage fraud and faces up to two years in prison. He was also ordered to pay nearly $700,000 in restitution to the department of Housing and Urban Development.
Calvin Davis was named as a co-conspirator who recruited buyers and Michelle Cochrane was identified as a former underwriter that approved the fraudulent loans.
