A Florida lawyer convicted of mortgage fraud is facing yet again the possibility of losing his law license as the Supreme Court is set to hear his case.
John Yanchek pleaded guilty to three counts of mortgage fraud and money laundering in connection with an $83 million mortgage fraud scheme. He was sentenced to five years in federal prison. A Florida Bar referee recommended his license be suspended for two years.
The latest case to come to light involves a medical malpractice lawsuit that a woman has claimed Yanchek mishandled.
