A mortgage broker who made his borrower's down payments was just sentenced to 15 months in prison for the mortgage fraud scheme.
Henry Broussard, 39, admitted to using false loan documents, gift letters and phony records to secure loans for otherwise unqualified borrowers. He pleaded guilty to one felony count of mail fraud.
He was also ordered to pay $142,000 in restitution.
