Mortgage Fraud Modification

Servicers are reportedly turning in mortgage fraud suspects uncovered during the modification approval process, according to a news update at MortgageDaily.com.
Mortgage Fraud Examiners (MFE) is warning borrowers, not about a company, but about their actions. Borrowers who committed mortgage fraud could be exposed if they apply for a loan modification. The company claims that some servicers are alerting the FBI of any discrepancies found in the loan modification paperwork and the original application.
MFE also touts its ability to negotiate favorable loan modifications by exposing the fraud found in existing loans.
