System Merge Provides Lenders More Protection

Mortgage Builder(R) LOS Improves Compliance and Fraud Processes with Brooks Systems and Interthinx(R) Interfaces - Loan Analyzer and Fraud Detection System Offer Precision, Efficiency, Savings to Lenders

BOSTON--(October 15, 2007)--Mortgage Builder Software, Inc., provider of end-to-end mortgage banking software, has integrated Brooks Systems' High Cost Loan Analysis (BrooksHCLA) and Interthinx's® proven loan-level fraud detection system (FraudGUARD®) into Mortgage Builder's® LOS system. BrooksHCLA's accurate results and FraudGUARD's comprehensive evaluation system offer precision and efficiency with seamless integration for lenders using Mortgage Builder.

"If Mortgage Builder customers lend in multiple states or want to expand, Brooks Systems has already worked with law firms to correctly interpret each state's requirements for lending as they relate to compliance with federal, state and local anti-predatory lending laws," said Taylor Heal, director of sales and marketing for Brooks Systems. "With this integration we are eliminating double entry, reducing data-entry error, and saving time. Links are also provided to the legislation when the data/reports are returned so lenders can review the specific state's guidelines that apply. We eliminate the chances for a high cost loan, thereby reducing the risk of the lender being forced to buy the loan back. The user will instantaneously know if that loan is saleable - improving time to market."

"Mortgage Builder customers now have the ability to export loan-application data to the FraudGUARD system without having to exit the Mortgage Builder LOS or re-key loan information," noted Mike Zwerner, sr. vice president business development & marketing for Interthinx. By using this new option, Mortgage Builder customers have access to Interthinx reports that have been statistically validated to predict non-performing loans. With FraudGUARD, the possibility of foreclosure and payment default is automatically estimated.

"Mortgage Builder integrated two of the mortgage industry's leading vendors for fraud and compliance handling," said Keven Smith, president of Mortgage Builder Software. "We want our customers to have access to the most thorough fraud and compliance tools available. Lenders can assess risk and detect fraud as early as possible in the origination process and feel secure that a detailed compliance check was conducted. These interfaces will definitely save time and money for our customers."
