December 12, 2008
A 39-year-old New York man has been indicted on 13 counts relating to mortgage fraud charges. His attorney said the prosecution would not be able to prove the case because his client is innocent.
Louis LaDonna is accused of bilking lenders out of $2.5 million by using straw buyers and false documentation to obtain 100 percent financing. LaDonna is out on $75,000 bail after pleading not guilty to the charges. His attorney said he reviewed all the paperwork and is confident his client will be cleared of the charges.
