An independent real estate closer and notary has been accused of using mortgage proceeds to pay personal debts of hers and her family members.
Kuntee Singgramdoo who was hired by Walsh Title & Real Estate Services Inc. has had her real estate closing license, resident insurance producer license and notary commission suspended in the wake of what the state Department of Commerce has called brazen embezzlement.
By her own admittance, Singramdoo embezzled more than $230,000 in the form of 184 fraudulently issued checks from real estate closing proceeds and has paid back $10,000 so far. Criminal charges have not been have not been filed but she could face civil penalties and permanent license revocation.
A hearing is scheduled for April 13.
