A man who was sentenced to three years in prison for mortgage fraud dashed out of the courthouse after telling the judge he was too sick to serve any prison time. The judge denied his request. News cameras followed the man as he tried to hurry away.
Joseph Jackson wouldn’t speak to reporters after being sentenced for his role in a real estate investor mortgage fraud scam. Jackson and others were charged with a $14 million fraud scheme in Texas. His partner Don Jones was sentence to 51 months in prison and a loan officer, Bob Patterson, was sentenced to four years in prison.
