Police Officer Charged with Fraud

A California police officer has been placed on administrative leave after being accused of committing mortgage fraud by lying about his income and residency his mortgage loan applications.
Ali Khalil, 29, was arrested by Sacramento FBI agents yesterday for allegedly inflating his income on two separate mortgage loans and also claiming both homes as a primary residence. Khalil reportedly used income from a towing business he owned to qualify for one loan, however, IRS agents said he reported a loss of income for that business.
