Partnership Formed to Provide Free Fraud Warnings

Security Leaders Announce Strategic Partnership to Enhance FS-ISAC Members' Ability to Proactively Fight Fraud. - 3VR Provides FS-ISAC Customers With Free Alerts Through 3VR's CrimeDex System.


 
SAN FRANCISCO - (September 12, 2007) - 3VR Security, Inc., the pioneer of searchable surveillance and FS-ISAC, the Financial Services Information Sharing and Analysis Center, announced that they have formed a partnership to provide FS-ISAC customers with free alerts through 3VR's CrimeDex System. CrimeDex is an integrated criminal database and searchable surveillance system to help banks, retailers, and law enforcement identify criminals, expedite investigations and share critical information to stop fraud. The partnership enables FS-ISAC's members access to free alerts through 3VR's CrimeDex system, providing warnings and advice against attacks on financial organizations that pay for the FS-ISAC services. James "Gator" Hudson, 3VR VP of CrimeDex Services, Detective Sergeant Retired, states, "FS-ISAC is a leading industry forum for collaboration on critical security threats facing the financial services sector. 3VR is excited to form this partnership and provide CrimeDex access to its members."

CrimeDex is a secure database of thousands of known criminals used by 295 banks and credit unions including 7 of the top 20, 172 law enforcement agencies including police and sheriffs offices in 10 of the nations largest metropolitan areas, 24 federal agencies charged with drug enforcement, border control and immigration, tax collection, criminal prosecution, homeland and port security and federal investigations and 5 retailers including one of the largest grocery chains, a major convenience store chain and several private investigation organizations. Through this partnership, CrimeDex alerts will be available to all of FS-ISAC's 4,000 members, including many of the nation's top banking firms & credit unions, securities firms, insurance companies, credit card companies, mortgage banking companies, financial service sector utilities and service bureaus, and appropriate industry associations.
