Realtors Weigh-In on Scrutiny

November 13, 2008

Despite reports of possible Realtor involvement in a $45 million real estate scam, as recently reported on FraudBlogger.com, the Greeley Area Realtor’s Association president said she is maintaining a positive attitude for the sake of her buyers and sellers.

Other realtors the Colorado area said that the fraud affects them in different ways. Realtors don’t like to see fraud happen in general, and others don’t want to be associated with any of the properties that were involved either.

Five Greeley Realtors are being called to a hearing in Colorado Administrative Court. The alleged scheme involved about 100 home sales totaling $45 million, three-dozen agents were investigated and 20 have already been penalized.
