Straw Buyer Recruiter Sentenced

Three of four people accused of running a straw buying scam have pleaded guilty and the recruiter in the $1.5 million scheme was sentenced to 15 months in federal prison.
Jose Serrano, 45, recruited fake buyer over a two-year span to purchase 10 homes in Stockton, Calif. along with Iftikhar Ahmad, and two others. Serrano was ordered to pay more than $219,000 in restitution.
