The former mortgage broker who took claim to defrauding lenders and homeowners out of about $1 billion in mortgage loans was indicted on charges that he stole millions from one mortgage corporation.
Christopher Warren and fugitive partner Scott Cavell were indicted on charges that they stole more than $7 million from Ocala, Calif.-based Taylor, Bean and Whitaker Mortgage Corp. Warren who had recently jetted off on a brief escape to Lebanon was arrested at the Canadian/U.S. border in New York with $70,000 stuffed in his cowboy boots.
